My review:
They certainly looked like they were having fun, but honestly, I have certainly heard the band sound better. I thought the mix was muddy. The vocals were nice and loud and the guitars sounded pretty good, but Eric's drums sounded awful!! His snare drum sounded like it was made out of paper and to me, he just didn't seem to play with a lot of energy. It was almost "Peter-like." The way he plays "Detroit Rock City" is very odd. On a positive note for Eric, he sings great! He did a lot of the high harmonies that Paul used to handle but just can't due to his vocal problems.
That being said, in the beginning of the show, Paul was really struggling. His voice was cracking and he looked like he was straining at times. It was uncomfortable to watch. The great thing is as the show went on, his voice got stronger!
Gene was incredible by contrast. He sounded strong all night and was in full demon mode. He was great to watch. Tommy also played very well, and I enjoyed the first half of his solo, when he played with Eric. The rockets from the guitar I just couldn't appreciate because it's just such a part of Ace. Nothing against Tommy, it just seemed strange to me. I liked Eric's bazooka rocket though. That was different.
The stage set up was great and looked amazing at the Arts Center. It was a perfect setting for the stage. I loved the video monitors and the little tribute to Eric Carr during "God Gave Rock 'n Roll To You" made me very happy.
They looked liked they were having fun, the songs didn't drag. The crowd was great. There were a LOT of people there. Hearing crickets when the words "Sonic Boom" were mentioned was cringy, but all in all, I enjoyed the show and would consider seeing them again. I give the show a solid B+.

I was at this show. Gene was certainly the main attraction. He was energetic and crowd was eating it up. The show was loud but the sound is terrible at every shed concert.
