Some people forget that there's more to a KISS show than Paul's voice, it looks like they were having fun in NJ.

There are many elements to a Kiss show. Paul's voice is but one of them.

It's in no way great or even good, but I've heard MUCH worse from Paul. Like when he's croaking out Forever for example. So I don't get what's "yikes" and oh so bad with this one?

I mean, like I said. It's not good, but it's not like it's that cringe-worthy. Maybe it's my speakers. :lol:

KISSman24 wrote:A great, GREAT show! IMO, this show was MUCH better than Hershey. I think catching them on the first night instead of the third show of a weekend may be a plus. Also, Paul's voice was MUCH better than it was in Hershey as well. Paul seems to talk a little less than he used to between songs, but he was definitely more playful in Philly than Hershey.

Obviously the setlist was the same, but it really is a good setlist overall. Songs like "Crazy, Crazy Nights", "Shock Me", "Say Yeah", "Beth" and "God Gave Rock and Roll To You" are great to have in the set this time around.

One omission that I was totally happy about was that the Pledge of Pledge of Allegience and the big fake check were gone from the show. I really hope they raise a lot of money for the cause, but the whole rant is unnecessary. Anyhow, it's gone...

Instead, they tinkered with playing "I Stole Your Love" after "Beth" but it never fully materialized. If Eric had only been back at his kit in time, maybe it could have gone somewhere, but it never made it beyond the intro riff.

This show is such an amazing thing to see/hear. I don't know why the Hershey show didn't *wow* me as much, but they really blew me away tonight. The whole stage, the lights, the colors, the fireworks, the effects, the costumes, etc. are a collective thing of beauty. A new revelation also came over me tonight that maybe I'll share in its own thread. Anyhow, nothing but good vibes after this one.

Loved this show. Love this band. 8)

I enjoyed the show last night, but Susquehanna Bank Center is the biggest "bend over rape me" venue I've ever been to.

Parking = $25
Beer = Bottles $9 / 24oz draft = $13
Chicken Tenders with Fries = $8.50 (cold and tasteless)
Single slice of pizza = $6.50 (cold and gross)
Hamburger = $9.00
Hot Dog = $8.50

Nothing wrong with that clips of Firehouse. The guy has some major vocal problems, and everyone have been aware of then for a couple of years, this clip contains nothing worse then what we've already heard. This is the way he sings now.

The other thing is, have you noticed how a such a little thing like a wrist bend can change the whole look? I mean Paul looks alot more like Creatures era because of it.

One thing we were discussing on the way home - even given Paul's vocal issues, he didn't pussy out. No changed keys, and hardly any changed vocal lines. He had issues but he fucking went for it. Sometimes he didn't make it, but he went for it.

Took the ride down to the show with the wife and kids. Had lawn seats, upgraded to the unsold pavillion area (201) for $20 more, Not bad. Lots of unsold seats that filled in with lawn people as KISS time grew near.

Took some pics and filmed full 1080P video of about an hour. Had great screen angle but too many heads and hands. Plus, I was being daddy, not fan.

Set was good, dragged a bit with "I'm an animal". This was the "take a leak" song for most. Half the crowd outside of the 100 section sat down mid way through the show.

Paul's voice was bad but not as bad as the 2009 tour. I agree on the raping of the fans with the venue costs. My 7 year old loved the show, she asked why the Paul Stanley guy kept shaking his booty.

Show #103 for me and as always, the very best.

Yeah, that $25 parking fee was the first surprise of the night. We've been to our fair share of shows at that dump, but never had to pay that much. I feel worse for the person who maybe decided to take their kids to the show because of the reasonable lawn deal and then got depantsed when they got to the lot to park.

And I did see the bootleggers, but didn't see their dramatic apprehension. That sounded like a pretty fun thing to witness. :lol:

Oh, and the 'check thing' is the big 6-foot check that some random person would lug out on stage during the first few nights that showed the running total of how much they had raised for charity due to ticket sales.

So security actually took your camera?? Wow. There were tons of people with cameras too. Could you reclaim it or is it gone?

well i was kind of exaggerating... its a new camera http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Sony+-+High ... Id=9746014

to be specific...

and i cracked it out during "the academy is" to test it secuirty dude came over said put it away NOW!.... so i did... but it was still light out due to the sun over the philly skyline... THEN when the lights went out for kiss i cracked it out thinking they got bigger fish to fry welp i was the bigger fish.. same dude came over and said if i come over here again ITS MINE!... so i put it away immediately cause after dropping 750+ i was not down for possibly losing it

i was at both shows, hershey and camden, and for reason camden was much better. i think it was the crowd in hershey sucked so the band didnt seem to have as much fun. this time was AWESOME!!!!!! plus during rnran i got to go down like 5 rows from the stage. so that was cool.

Agreed. More bands should play Hershey's Star Pavilion (stage faces the other side away from the stadium; holds approx. 10,000) The stadium bleachers are too far removed and the interaction with band's there is always rather weak.

All they need to do is take turns singing lead with Paul.

Perhaps this IS Paul's real voice and he's been lipsynching the past 35 years?

That's great, ren! I think it's hilarious that your daughter said that about Paul, hehe. It must be great to take your kids to see Kiss. That's something I'll never be able to do, since I'm only 26 and nowhere near having a kid.

Btw, you might remember me (Elias) from TTS. Cool to "see ya" again.

Peace.
