Shock Me is a great song. I don't care who plays it. Same with the Kiss songs Ace is playing.

Re: So, Ace gets a pass?
Personally, I could care less who plays what songs. Ace played on almost all of the "classics" and the solos are his creations. I go to an Ace show to hear him play guitar not necessarily to sing. He does have a unique singing tone and that is fine, but I am going to hear him play.
For Kiss, I wonder if G&P have Tommy play Shock Me and Beth as a dig at Ace and Peter. As a fan, I would prefer that Eric and Tommy sing something they created rather than an Ace or Peter classic. They certainly have a right to play what they want and I am not going to let something like this get me upset. I get that they are selling nostalgia, I was part of the army of fans from that time when they we're a phenomenon. If they we're really selling this version of the band, I would expect to hear Tommy's and Eric's work too. I have a much bigger issue with Paul's lip-syncing but that is another thread of at least 10 pages of discussion.

Of course there’s a chance.Forevertj wrote: ↑Sun Sep 26, 2021 6:08 pmbattra wrote: ↑Sun Sep 26, 2021 3:54 pmYou can just leave off that but and anything else.
Ace opened for Alice in 1987 and is opening for Alice 35 years later.
Ace chose the easy path, play the songs you know and the audience loves instead of getting your music over.
Really, Ace tells us daily, his music is inferior to Kiss's.
I disagree, but that's what his actions tell us.
Is there any chance he was told to do so by Alice's management? Or someone else in charge? I have often wondered that.
But this is also the same guy who does little more than okay a set of Kiss songs anyway

Please compare the 2018 Kruise performances of Kulick and Frehley. 100% of the musical ass kicking came from BK. It was a decimation.DemonFilth2001 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 26, 2021 8:15 pmHe’s not playing used car lots he’s opening for Alice Cooper every night in front of 5-10 thousand people.
Your boy Bruce couldn’t even play car lots, let alone get himself booked on an actual tour, even as an opening act.
Ace might be a has been, but Bruce is a NEVER WAS. He’s a total nothing.

Grand Caravan is some sort of agent, who (very likely) gets paid to sit here (and probably many other places simultaneously) all day, every day, and, *whenever* possible, spring into action to verbally abuse anyone who has an opinion or conclusion that runs counter to the ones he's ordered to push.StillAlive wrote: ↑Sun Sep 26, 2021 8:32 am Grand Classic will ruin this topic (as usual) with his predicable pollution. And if you're paid, it's probably from some nefarious, Intel-connected agency: like Rolling Stone. How would I know which one?
I just know that you most definitely harass, assault, and Liberty-trample. And that you're closed-minded, needlessly vitriolic, way beyond arrogant, unenlightened, and you never allow yourself to consider new ideas, let alone actually learn anything.

It is fucking moronic to think that anyone is paid to be here - that is the bottom line. That is the only impression you have made here by actually stating something so ridiculous and that you actually believe it.DonnaDixon wrote: ↑Mon Sep 27, 2021 2:23 pmYou're either paid to be here, or you engage in never-ending harassment, assault, and Liberty-trampling for free because you enjoy it. So Alice is headlining used car lots, and Ace is the opener?
That sounds pretty nasty (and False). Aren't you one of the people here who tend to tantrum about others being nasty?---even when they're not actually being nasty, and the alleged nastiness was merely your fallacious interpretation?! Or am I mixing you up with someone else?

Re: So, Ace gets a pass?
Ace, solo, has played to car lots and food trucks, pre-covid. Alice is the larger draw for this tour, but I don't know what type of venues he is used to. I really only know and/or like Poison, from Cooper. As for a tendency to "tantrum." The banjumpers engage in that practice ... not I. Have I protested against someone typing 'nastyness' directed at me, on ocassion? Sounds plausable. I just can't recall, right now. The vast majority of my coorespondences on this forum tend to be very polite, very pleasant. And when they are not, they are most often very brief ... and of no import.

I remember that site very well. I think it "died" some 10-15 years ago(?) I remember the ladies posting their favorite photos of Ace's "package". I have since learned that those photos were (allegedly) photoshopped by Ace himself.southernkiss wrote: ↑Sun Sep 26, 2021 1:45 pmI do not think the site is still up, but I very clearly remember it.
