Brother Nibbles. Don’t suppose you know the box score for this loud, proud and unbowed triumph?

Apparently there was 30,000 people at that show. The stadium holds 80,000. So I’d say they pocketed a big wad of $$$ that night. Hitched your disdain to the wrong wagon there, bud.Chaim Wigz wrote: ↑Tue Jul 20, 2021 1:05 am Brother Nibbles. Don’t suppose you know the box score for this loud, proud and unbowed triumph?

Interesting that KISS has conditioned their fans to talk about money and how much money they make to prove success.Mr Slow wrote: ↑Tue Jul 20, 2021 2:41 amApparently there was 30,000 people at that show. Never heard any Pearl Jam or Neil Young fan ever, not once talk about how much money they make or do not make from shows.
Interesting.

I could care less what they make. But around here some sure do want them to fail and ticket sales are a big part of that.Spiritual_Chaos wrote: ↑Tue Jul 20, 2021 2:48 amInteresting that KISS has conditioned their fans to talk about money and how much money they make to prove success.Mr Slow wrote: ↑Tue Jul 20, 2021 2:41 amApparently there was 30,000 people at that show. Incorrect. I honestly couldn’t give a shit how many tickets they sell and how much money they make (unless it’s through scummy, unethical business practices, and then I have a problem with it, as should any decent person). My post was just a response to Mr Nibbles incessant and utterly boring babbles about box scores and bank accounts.Mr Slow wrote: ↑Tue Jul 20, 2021 2:55 amI could care less what they make. Spiritual Chaos is right, the likes of you and Mr Nibbles (especially Mr Nibbles) can barely contain your delight at the money being made when really, the music should always come first. How anyone can whoop and cheer for the financial success of a band that is phoning it in night after night, with a singer who’s voice is so gone that he’s resorted to MIMING is equally hilarious and nauseating.

Re: Mark G Etess Arena SOLD OUT!
Incorrect. I enjoy my favourite band having success, but the money aspect isn’t what pleases me. I like that in 2021, after being a band for almost 50 years they can still pull a good crowd pretty much anywhere in the world. For the upcoming tour of Australia (if it happens - F*** off COVID!!!) they will play to over 100,000 people across 9 shows. For them to still have that kind of drawing power here is awesome. I don’t know or care what kind of profit they make. I’m just happy they are still popular enough to play arenas.Chaim Wigz wrote: ↑Tue Jul 20, 2021 4:20 amIncorrect. As for you finding it nauseating, you must enjoy that feeling because you sure do talk about it a lot. If I had something right in front of me that made me feel sick I’d at least turn my head. You idiots actually seek it out!

Is that stadium usually used for football? Because that’s the most obvious display of goalpost moving I’ve ever seen.
Yeah the venue was half empty, but they made a lot of money anyway!

Presumably Kiss has greater overhead costs than the average band, what with transporting their stage stage, assembly & disassembly at each venue, etc. So while their gross per show may be high, their profit may not be what it would be for another band with an equal gross. Your thoughts?nibbler1982 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 19, 2021 2:34 pm Looking good boys!

1. Paul Stanley is ok with mocking the appearance and physical shortcomings of others, so yeah, I’m ok with my avatar. You keep pointing out the ear thing, but honestly, it was the scowl on the face of the character that I found amusing, and led to me choosing it. 2. My post was a response to your endless cheerleading about Kiss box office scores and profit margins and all that crap. I honestly couldn’t care less how many people attend their shows or how much money they make. It’s widely accepted here that two of their most poorly attended tours (Creatures and Revenge) were among their best, performance wise. But you don’t care about music, you count dots and numbers. It’s embarrassing.

Abhorrent. That’s a big word, like gymnasium.
Yes, I find Kiss’ music infinitely more interesting and worthy of conversations than their profit margins. Funny that, isn’t it? I’d hazard a wild and crazy guess here, I’m probably in the majority of Kiss fans in that regard.

We could scour previous post and see a myriad of comments about how KISS’ stage show is a complete joke. It’s the same thing for the past 40 plus years and a popcorn fart compared to the real big boys. I personally LOVE the staples of a KISS show. But pyro, cherry pickers, lasers, fog machines, and LED screens are far from uncommon. I honestly wouldn’t know where to stack KISS vs other $1M gate performers as far as cost. Last big production I saw was Eagles at the Garden. It may have had less pyro but they’re toting around a forty piece orchestra with them these days. I’d say it was a wash.
As far as a comparative analysis goes? This stage show is NO DIFFERENT from Monster was. All you do is switch out raising Spidey and his legs for television pods (and a horizontal flame jet) and it’s a straight swap. KISS was perfectly content to carting that show around to the tune of ~$500,000. By those accounts it’s infinitely more profitable today.
I hope this helps your query.

Re: Mark G Etess Arena SOLD OUT!
Thank you for your response. Now, I may be wrong, but I suspect that Kiss doesn't really need to make a huge profit per show. They need to cover costs, and any profit is welcome. The real money comes from the merch, meet 'n greets, etc. Kind of like the way movie theaters make money not from ticket sales, but from selling candy & soda at huge mark-ups to the captive audience.nibbler1982 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 20, 2021 7:35 am

You would be correct sir.
I’m always happy when my bands do well. Isn’t that natural for a fan?
So Cruel shoehorns Pearl Jam in to every conversation AND still feels the need to police what should or shouldn’t be discussed in all matters KISS.
On a KISS forum.
That’s gotta be some kinda hole he’s trying to fill.

We both know if this was some 20,000 seater for example that was sold out, Nibbs would absolutely hype out that number in his original post.TheSpoiler wrote: ↑Tue Jul 20, 2021 11:58 amAh, if only Nibbs hadn't guessed 5500 before battra did, eh?Grand Classic wrote: ↑Tue Jul 20, 2021 10:36 amI have a feeling Nibbler was hoping that no one would bring up how many seats this place holds, but Battra did so.

We were all kicking around approximate size when tix went on sale September 2020.

Not to mention I posted a picture of the seating in the OP.

That isn't what you do. You hype the current era as if you are getting paid by Paul and Gene and show absolute glee for the failures of Ace and Peter - the losers as far as you are concerned. If they lost whatever money they have and were homeless - it would just add to the success story of the current era of KISS in your mind and you would LOVE that even at the expense of Ace and Peter.nibbler1982 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 20, 2021 1:15 pmYou would be correct sir.

It is laughable that you are trying to pass yourself off as "just a fan" showing your happiness over KISS doing well. Everyone knows you have an agenda with your dot counting and dismissing any other era or it's members. Paul and Gene should hire you, because I have never seen anyone online be more of a shill for them than you.

The music and what the band delivers is far more important to me and unfortunately with KISS, it has become embarrassing to the point that you can't go any lower.
You have a good time though if you are fine with it. I have a certain level of standards, so it's a no go for me.

Yes, because Battra said he was going to look it up. No conspiracy - just what happened. Why would anyone have to look it up themselves if it was already stated? Answer - it wasn't. Nibbs knew that Battra was going to find out how small this place was and then decided to mention it.TheSpoiler wrote: ↑Tue Jul 20, 2021 3:27 pmSo Nibbs did mark it out as a 5K seater before Batty did. Re: Mark G Etess Arena SOLD OUT!
Sold Out !!!!
This would be exciting if it was due to something substantial the band was doing like - - new music , a new show , costumes or stage but it's simply a case of people wanting to have a good time and hear RnR All Night as well as seeing some fireworks.
As a fan of this band and their music- this does not excite me.
Just another excuse for GnP to say ....see, no one wants anything new.
Actually it's a little sickening.
