Damn that's an incredible photo....but yes, the days of real magic are long over. Doesn't mean there was no greatness after the 70s, but the real magical stuff only came from then.

In the pic, you can easily see Gene's guitar cord, as they all still had at that time. I was always surprised that it took Ace to get shocked for Kiss to buy wireless systems. Even though they were super expensive then (was it like three grand maybe then?), I would have thought Kiss would have bought them the first minute they could afford them.

In that era, the magazines, albums packed with goodies and rare TV appearances (especially with only a few channels) tied me over with plenty of KISS mystique since I was too small to go see them live.
Salute to those of you who actually experienced a live show in the 70's. I'm just glad this band even happened at all.

I too want one more true magical thing. (Not that infamous never to be finished book, by the way )
