I watched the clip that has the entire show on it and I really enjoyed it too. Taking it for what it is, it was very fun and it's good to see the band having a good time and the audience seemed to love it.Eddie Van Hazel wrote: ↑Sat Jun 12, 2021 8:07 am Hate to be the only person on the FAQ to say this...but I actually enjoyed the clip.
They don't sound any better or worse than they did back in early 2019.
"War Machine" kicked butt. I actually liked Tommy's solo.
The band looked good and the crowd seemed to enjoy it.
Glad to hear they're returning in August....Hope I can catch them in Atlantic City.
I'm still not paying for an EOTR ticket though...

The background vocals in "HOF" are fake. They sound like DLR's backing vocals.

It is KISS! I am glad they did a couple “non-standard” short set songs if we can call War Machine and Heaven’s On Fire that.
We have a few more months, maybe a year and some change of KISS shows and then it is over. Let’s just enjoy the party while it last.

It is great that people who actually enjoy seeing the band play will be getting a chance to do so again starting in August. It is also great for those who have nothing else to do but bitch, complain, and cut down the band to have many more shows to bitch about, complain about, and to cut down. Nice to see life getting back to normal.

I was hoping for the AC show as well, but I'm not paying $150 a ticket, which appears to be the cheapest ticket price available, on top of having to get a room since it's such a long drive for me.

I enjoyed the youtube footage I saw. It was exactly what I thought it would be going in. Laughed at the end of Tommys War Machine solo when Eric threw the drumstick in the air and dropped it.

I actually loved Tommy's take on the War Machine solo there. He kept the basic construction and note progressions, but made some changes and added some style to make it more his own.

No!
Just don’t fucking rubbish people who haven’t been in the band for decades, that’s all. It’s totally unnecessary and it just shows how petty Paul and Gene are and jealous that Ace was always the most popular member.
Maiden sell a shit load of tickets. More than KISS internationally. Steve Harris isn’t in every interview saying what a bad singer Paul Dianno or Blaze Bayley was.
The Stones don’t say Mick Jones never blossomed and check out how good Ron Wood is.
These guys don’t need to muckrake to get press. They just shut the fuck up and let the music do the talking.

"Writing in the New York Post in May 2016, reporter Kyle Smith explained how Keith admitted “the band’s nickname for Jagger was ‘Her Majesty’ or whiny, needy ‘Brenda’.
“Bandmates, Richards said, would often refer in code to ‘that bitch Brenda’ while the unsuspecting Jagger was right there in the room.”
That was not all –Mr Smith said Keith thought Sir Mick had "started to become unbearable" in the Eighties, and even mocked his "tiny todger".
The reporter continued: “And Richards was harsh on the quality of Jagger’s solo work, nicknaming the latter’s 2003 album 'Goddess in the Doorway' 'Dogs**t in the Doorway'."
https://www.express.co.uk/celebrity-new ... ckname-spt
EDIT: it's worth adding Jagger's response to Keith's taunting, it seems appropriate regarding Kiss:
"The publication of Keith’s autobiography “really incensed” Sir Mick, so much so that he tried to get certain extracts removed from the book.
In a 2016 biography written by Rich Cohen, called ‘The Sun & The Moon & the Rolling Stones’, Sir Mick revealed what he really thought of the book.
He reportedly said: “Imagine that everything Keith says is true.
“Now imagine those things being said by a business partner… Now imagine that partner is drug addicted.
“Sometimes, you have a big meeting and he doesn’t show … Or maybe he gets busted on the eve of a world tour. What, in such a case, would you make of his complaints?”

The obvious point you seem to be missing here is Mick and Keith are both still in the band. Imagine if they brought up what losers Brian Jones, Mick Taylor and Bill Wyman were, every opportunity, every interview, year in, year out. Wouldn't they come across as absolutely miserable people? Anyhow, nice to see a pair of real logos hauled out of storage again. How many years now since they’ve used one?

The logo animation during Detroit Rock City was also fucked up - the position of the far-right S changed while repeatedly switching between the fire and metal logos.

What we are all not realizing is that because of bands like the Stones, where the personal accusations and attacks are generating a lot of press and innuendo, KISS creates the same friction to have that aspect of a "rock band" as well. They are totally overdoing it for exposure. Without the bickering among G&P and A&P there wouldn't be any real salt in the soup.
