And it’s a ripoff of this.

Just acquired this...is it 100% live, or was it doctored a bit in the studio??

My copy finally arrived!

I mean, in fairness, I canceled my order, and then reordered over a month later.

From listening to you guys talk, I was figuring Ace's guitar sounded like it was recorded by a dude with a tape recorder in his pocket.

Is it low? A bit...and I mean, like 5% down...The "buried in the mix" comments are a bit of an overreaction.

Listening to this thing, it's the first time I've listened to a Kiss live album and felt like I did at a show.

The minimalist packing bothers me today, but in a couple months I won't even think about it again.

My friends....

If you're one of the ones who (RIGHTFULLY) bash Vinnie for vomiting up notes...

Don't listen to Tokyo.

OK, I have listened to both "Soul Station" and Kiss, "Off The SoundBoard: Tokyo 2001", both on SHM-CD's!

They do sound good! However I noticed the bitrate was still 44.1 kHz and thus likely still 16 bit, when I thought SHM-CDs were at 48 kHz - 24 bit?

Can someone clarify on that please?!?!

that's correct, if not it would not be a CD.

Simple .. 44.1/16 = CD

Ok, Thanks for clarifying. So it's just an improvement in the quality of the CD itself then.

I think to access the other bigger files on the CD you need a dedicated SHM player, am I correct?

Yes, the discs are backward compatible though, which means they’ll play on a standard player at standard CD quality.

Yes top right has "Samurai Son", Bottom right has "Yume no Ukiyo ni Saitemina" ("Thank You For Your Dream").

I laughed when I heard at the end of the Beatles, "Hollywood Bowl 1964" when someone in the audience bitched "It was only a half hour!".
Was it a joke with the band then that they were basically a new band that should be an opening act so they used the 30 minute set also as a teaser for more to come?!?!

Soul Station is good. Some of the Paul tunes sound like something from his Kiss Solo album.

The, "Off the Soundboard: Toyko 2001" is good, the highlight being "Talk To Me" among all the stale-ness of the setlist. I have not heard the Beatles BBC sessions yet or the Momoiro cds.
