Such a pathetic money grabbing shame

I’d say a concert used guitar pick is much more valuable/collectible
I don't know that anyone would buy one of these as a "valuable/collectible". There is obviously no shortage of them, and I don't think that anyone is thinking they'll make anything off of one of these some day, especially with so many available. Supply clearly exceeds demand.

Anyone who gets one of these is buying it for what it represents to them. Same with the sword and the Ultimate VIP experience... these are premium / expensive items for the fans who can afford to treat themselves to them. For the person who wished they were the one who caught the guitar at the first show they went to, it might make a great centerpiece to their KISS collection.

It's not really worth the money to me, but then again the $500 I paid for Ace to sign my Les Paul might not be worth it to someone else. Still, I can't hold back the smile whenever I see that guitar on the stand.

That makes it worth every penny.
I get it and think signed guitars are cool - so long as they are signed on the back of the headstock - another else makes it unplayable & renders it as ridiculous as a broken/unplayable instrument.

G&P prey on those fans that “must have it all”

As long as the fans are happy... I don't get where the rub is for you.

I had my Les Paul signed by Ace on the front, as the back of headstock signatures usually look like crap squeezed between tuning machines. As it was, I got a nice big, clear signature, and then clear coated it. It looks great, and I play it often, so maybe it would meet with your approval.

I guess my problem is with all of the judging. Labeling something "ridiculous" seems condescending to people who might see a broken Paul Stanley guitar as a very limited edition artifact/stage prop, rather than a broken instrument.

By limited I mean that there is only one guitar that got broken on April 9, 2019 in Nashville at the last KISS show I'll probably ever see.

Would I like to have that guitar on my wall?

Hell yeah I would.

That stage busted guitar is one of the most recognized KISS concert prop’s ever designed. It isn’t “just” a broken guitar.
It IS just a broken guitar. Literally.

I was going to purchase the one from Albuquerque (because it's the rock n roll capital of New Mexico)...but I'm going to be busy going to the doctor's office on Friday to get myself checked out. Then I'll be having sex with the nurse afterwards...

The interesting thing on that website is the "Weapons of Choice" section where they're selling the guitars he actually played on tour (not the cheap bolt ons). 15k starting price....

Insane. What a crock.
Personally for that I would get myself a vintage '78 Ibanez PS10. You'd get a very clean example for that with a ton of coin left over. Thats just me though.

A smashed guitar from a band who have only put out two studio albums in the last twenty years, that’s almost poetic.

It’s always been the most cringy part of the show for me.

Paul swaps his real guitar with a roadie for a fake one, pretends to play it with no strap and then points to the ground a few times. Lame.

They had a pawn stars episode where a guy tried to sell one of these. Rick offered 55,000. The guy turned it down.

I can think of a few people on the FAQ who would buy multiple rolls.

S'all good. I went and tracked the episode down after reading that...I couldn't imagine what led to such a crazy offer, much less it being turned down. Dude turned down the 5500 after hearing the 'expert' they brought in say it might be worth like 7k...

It’s a tv show. None of the stuff bought on there is sold in the pawn shop. Legally you cannot identify people who pawn things, some Vegas law. Every single item you see on there is set up for the TV show.
