Still here...

ASG has been out of print for years. The only VV related thing he probably gets royalties for still is Nightmare On Elm Streetvantheman77 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 13, 2019 7:47 pm That ‘s pretty revealing about the royalties for both Vinnie Vincent Invasion and Slaughter.
The idea with this hypothetical is that it wouldn't be called VVI... As Mark has some clout too in this; maybe "The Vinnie Vincent/ Mark Slaughter Project" something basic?? Again it could've been a terrific thing...
Yep.
Yup.
Hypothetical is one thing.Phyllis Simmons wrote: ↑Sat Jun 15, 2019 5:07 pmThe idea with this hypothetical is that it wouldn't be called VVI... As Mark has some clout too in this; maybe "The Vinnie Vincent/ Mark Slaughter Project" something basic?? Again it could've been a terrific thing...
As I said hypothetical - Vinnie's got grudges to hang on to; online wars to fight, these things can be very time consuming...
Ohhh Vinnie, just let all the silly pointless shit go, be positive - make every post a winner.... life's too short...
Pointing out the resumes of the guys he couldn't get along with certainly helps illustrate that Vinnie's perceptions and approach to things make him the odd man out and have led to a significant rift between them. It's legitimately sad, and I'm not diagnosing anyone but I know people who have legitimate diagnoses (some medicated, some not) and they are isolated types who can come up with even the smallest reasons to "prove" people are against them and/or reasons to not do or try things. They will dissect everything in order to look for a reason to be upset, no matter how far back they have to go to find it, or how insignificant a rational person would find it.elleneff wrote: ↑Sun Jun 16, 2019 4:05 amHypothetical is one thing.Phyllis Simmons wrote: ↑Sat Jun 15, 2019 5:07 pmThe idea with this hypothetical is that it wouldn't be called VVI... In order to present such , it kinda needs to be a rational summation.
and one of that duo suggested is neither rational nor bankable.
Its worth noting that of that VVI band, Fleishman is a successful artist , writer and singer. Strum is constantly in demand with Vince Neil and Slaughter, and production, Mark is constantly writing, recording and playing and Bobby is also a noted, highly regarded and consistantly working musician, tours, writes, author etc.
Of the band, theres only one whom there in no activity other than he playing up his own long since expired self professed "legend" yet , wont play, record, write, put on a show, just....engages a few , Ill call them challenged and clearly special individuals on social media to pass on and do his bidding.
Pinocchio Cusano indeed. Liar liar with his panties on fire......

Ok. Fair point. He didnt get along with the members of VVI.Nately120 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 16, 2019 6:49 amPointing out the resumes of the guys he couldn't get along with certainly helps illustrate that Vinnie's perceptions and approach to things make him the odd man out and have led to a significant rift between them. But with Vinnie it's a little different because he does things for financial reasons, too. He's just such an interesting case study.
I know that Robert doesn't want to work with Dana again. He's pretty disliked throughout the music industry
Oh, I agree with you. My cousin is married to a woman with bi polar disorder and she can tell you a very good (in her mind) reason why absolutely everyone is awful and out to get her. Sometimes it's as absurd as "so and so got a pizza 17 years ago and didn't offer me a slice" or something like that but it's real to her.elleneff wrote: ↑Sun Jun 16, 2019 11:56 amOk. Fair point. But he didnt get along with Paul in Kiss.
He had serious issues with Rik Fox.
The promoters in 96 in Stockholm he stiffed.
He and the New England guys in Warrior, he stiffed.
Then theres Derek Christopher, Randy, Bill Temple, his attorney at Atlanta for 20 plus years.
I mean the list just goes on and on and on.
He exausts the patience of anyone in his proximity that will initially let him away with it and he pushes that envelope further and further to see what he cant get away with and how far others will bend to him. Because of the band he used to play in for 18 months in the 80s.
He is a Diva but sadly no longer has the talent to back up such behavior. Prince he aint.
If he announces his retirement, after a disasterous comeback, its not because of the fans or his choice, hes playing it because all the offers have dried up and no professional promoter for even an Expo will waste their time with him and his obseqious rediculous diva like demands. Hes playing it like its his choice and its because of the haters..
One thing you hit the nail squarely on the head. All he has to offer is that he is indeed an interesting case study in psychologial behaviours. Nothing more.

Seems like Robert doesn't gig/record anymore at all. Just paints. He likes the attention from Journey/Vinnie associations but he's clearly into painting now 100%.ZachAttack wrote: ↑Sun Jun 16, 2019 12:11 pm I know that Robert doesn't want to work with Dana again. I always got the impression Dana wasnt the most popular man in the business, lolstutterer wrote: ↑Sun Jun 16, 2019 1:42 pmSeems like Robert doesn't gig/record anymore at all. Just paints. But who dislikes Dana now, since Robert doesn't anymore? Gotta get to the bottom of this...

How recently? I talked to Robert last year and he told me he would still do a VVI reunion with Vinnie and Bobby but not DanaEggFlip wrote: ↑Sun Jun 16, 2019 1:27 pm Robert and Dana made up. Interesting. I definitely see some truth in your take there...Nately120 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 16, 2019 12:20 pmOh, I agree with you. On initial glance, some of Vinnie's complaints are like that (using the message board Tupperware Assistant thing as a means to declare the podcast guy to be unsavory) but he often uses such things for financial gain or to get out of delivering on promises, too. Pay him for a box set and then ask him where the boxset is and he has an excuse to just keep your money and give you nothing because you are a negative person who is accusing him of stiffing you, and so on. He was going to do a show that would prove to everyone that he was still a guitar god, but he's not going to do it because there are too many haters out there...ignoring the idea that he could very possibly lose money and expose his non-guitar god status if he actually goes through with it.
I don't envy the guy and his mindset, but he straddles a line between tragic figure and manipulator. His tirades and actions are an odd combination of an actual fear of being used/abused and the "look what you made me do!" sort of victim blaming.
Yes, but Sky is on hiatus at least since 2016 according to its site with last gigs listed as 5 years ago. From what I've heard on the albums, he doesn't go high at all.
It can only mean one thing. Mike Weeks IS a true fan. lol

He had no problem admitting he can't do it like he used to anymore, and what do you knoVV - he still released some music and played gigs with whatever he was capable of at the time!
