Rock and Brews solely depends on outsider investors who are willing to pay the fee to franchise now, I don't understand why there's not 100s already, the profits have been speaking for themselves.

It's probably Hard Rocks only viable competition which isn't saying much but we'll see how far this goes. I'm assuming apart from selling weed this will be Gene's main source of income outside of KISS soon and Paul's of course

Quite ironic really in the end the best business move was one where they didnt slabber the four make up icons everywhere and really made it little to none about KISS, only took 45 years for it to kick in

Weird, wasn't on Paul's Twitter, RnB's Twitter or the RnB website, but KISS added it to their Twitter an hour ago.

I’ve done my best to make it happen.

The $1.5M net worth and $0.5M liquid requirements are out of my range.

I did have a few meetings with their reps though.

They would love one at Roosevet Field. It wasn’t meant to be.

Imagine Nibbs as a Rock & Brews owner.

It would’ve made for great fodder here at the FAQ. :D

Would the success of the restaurant be based on gross sales or the number of hamburgers and sandwiches sold?

Kind of odd for them to have requirements that high. Usually you see more established brands like McDonalds, KFC, etc with those type of financial requirements for franchising. If I was going to risk my $ on a franchise I’d want one with years of brand recognition and financials.

Sales revenue less whatever the % given to the parent company less Cost of Goods less Operating Expenses less taxes will give you your profitability or loss.

A decade in capital raising for large scale projects. Just finishing financing for $250m resort in the Caribbean. Will be heading to Dubai after this is complete for meetings on financing a technology deal for the whole MENA region. That will probably lead me into the summer where I’ll spend some time in California on the American rollout for this tech deal. Got another tech deal which will probably be finalized in France but my business partner will likely go to Paris to close that one. Gonna be a busy year. How about you?

Nibbler, it was a very basic breakdown from revenues to profits. Didn’t think it needed to go through the accountants office. Thanks for the best of luck comment, but I’ve found that when it comes to luck you make your own. Cheers.

Lions don’t have to prove they’re lions.

You go around on this site thumping your chest so hard about what a great guy you are and how successful you are.

First of all, no one gives a shit, and second of all it suggests you have a massive inferiority complex.

It couldn’t be a basic breakdown if you didn’t even start from the beginning. Startup costs. Which to be honest...for a Rock & Brews probably looks as extensive (and expensive) as my chart above.

I’m gonna give you the benefit of doubt and say everything you’ve said above is true. It just shows the difference of our generations. I’m not sure of the machinations of your tech empire you’re currently building. But I can say with certainty that you’ve never had any skin in the game. If your wondering, that term means how much risk you’ve incurred or money you’ve invested. If you had, you’d understand how pervasive startup costs are. It would be the FIRST thing on your mind.

You would’ve mentioned it FIRST in that boilerplate list you rattled off when answering Brother Doose’s question on profitability.

Once again, best of luck. I do mean it. In the real world sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good.

My generation? I’m in my mid-40’s. To be clear, I raise capital for projects/companies. I don’t self finance or run the companies. Through my years in the financial markets I’ve met some good sources and remained friends with them. One partner with really good American and European sources for capital and another we sometimes use who has really good UAE sources for capital. We help the company get what they need in order to attract financing, helping with business plans, etc... and then we bring it to our contacts. If financing occurs we take a % as a fee. My skin in the game is working sometimes for months on a deal without knowing for sure if it will get financed.

Whatever franchise or business you’re working on I wish you well.

Sales revenue less whatever the % given to the parent company less Cost of Goods less Operating Expenses less taxes will give you your profitability or loss.
What’d read that out a book?

Haven’t been out in the real world yet, huh kid?

Reminds me of this scene.
Wow.

If that’s all true how could you leave THIS out of your previous post when discussing profitability or loss? It’s a big nut kid. Did it slip your mind?

That’s how my year’s looking. If you’re not aware of that term just ask. I guess you overlook shit like this if you’ve never had any skin in the game.

Best of luck. You’re gonna need it.
Nibbler, it was a very basic breakdown from revenues to profits. Didn’t think it needed to go through the accountants office. Thanks for the best of luck comment, but I’ve found that when it comes to luck you make your own. Cheers.

I’m not sure of the machinations of your tech empire your currently building.

Mid 40s? Wow. No disrespect. You come across much younger.

Again, no disrespect but I wish to God my only risk was not getting paid for a job. My current investment is 75% of my life savings. One that’s been built on 70 hour work weeks for as long as I can remember.

No skin in game??? Hmmm. That certainly is the Paul and Gene way. :D

Go get ‘em tiger.

New Interview with Paul from Rock & Brews opening. Even his talking voice is sounding very croaky now.

Paul sure uses the word "compromise" a lot. In this context I don't get it. In that place, according to Paul, you don't have to compromise what you're eating. What does that mean?

Paul Stanley goes through these Favorite Words phases, don't ask me why -- "satisfying" among them. I can only surmise that it's an attempt to use key words that resonate with people. Politicians do the same thing, like they'll throw the word "fairness" around alot. Commercials, of course, utilize this technique. McDonalds, with their 'Simpler the Better' trademark and so on. Same thing.

Never seen any 80-year olds at a KISS concert, Paul! (Paul talking about their audience at about 3:58)

Or anyone under 20, unless they’re dragged along with their father.

Iron Maiden concerts are full of young people who actually went by themselves, or with friends their own age.

KISS does NOT appeal to a big age range. It’s 85% old guys, and the rest is their families.
