Pretty good numbers for KISS. The Corpus Christi show was a bit of a dog.

In December 2009, Billboard and Nielsen SoundScan confirmed that with nearly nine million copies sold, Bob Seger's Greatest Hits was the decade's best-selling catalog album in the United States, even out-selling The Beatles' 1 and Michael Jackson's Number Ones. By September 2011, the album had sold a total of 9,062,000 copies in the United States.

For those playing at home, I do believe Corpus Christi stands at the highest price per ticket so far. I’m currently up on a roof at the moment, don’t quote me.

I hope we hear about Grand Rapids. That is the show I attended and would be pretty cool for it to be sold out. I mean if it isn't it has to be dang close to sold out. I did not notice any empty seats. Last KISS show I saw that sold out was I believe Tiger Stadium. Maybe one of the shows at Pine Knob (DTE), in the mid to late 2000s, not sure about those.

If so, Montreal (15,624) would be the biggest attendance of the tour so far. Of course, we are waiting on Chicago, which could rival it.

I was out in Philly the last week, was watching a local newscast and they said scattered tickets were available, and that was the morning of the show, so it should be a sellout, or very close

The drips and drabs they were coming out at the beginning of the tour was more out of the ordinary than not.
Boxscores come out in all kinds of ways. More often than not, a lot of tours release them in larger blocks of like ten or so shows.
When it’s all said and done I do believe we’ll have almost all of them.

I’m happy to get ANYTHING right now. There’s a lot to still be released. I’m fairly confident we’ll get ‘em sooner or later.

Yeah KISS historically hasn't done well in Kentucky. At least in the 80s, not sure about the 70s. 1996 reunion show at Freedom Hall had a really good turn out (as did all reunion shows) and the EOTR show was packed. Really good turn out.

Shocked.
Not that it’s a bad gate. 1.2M...I don’t feel too sorry for ‘em. It’s just that sales were so robust they even added a second show.
Unless the figures get amended, which has happened for a few dates so far...the numbers are what they say they are.

Is anyone taking into account the currency exchange rate for Montreal? Ticket prices are in Canadian dollars when we buy the tickets. Is the gross in US dollars or Canadian dollars?nibbler1982 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 13, 2019 1:43 pmShocked.

I was gonna mention that, but the Vancouver show was right in line with the others. Then again, maybe they got the conversion wrong when the did the math. It’s definitely an anomaly, that one sold very well, very quickly.Shane_Penney wrote: ↑Sat Apr 13, 2019 5:11 pmIs anyone taking into account the currency exchange rate for Montreal? Re: New EOTR Boxscores
The Montreal boxscore is quite the anomaly. It’s hard to explain the relatively low gate and average ticket price. Not that the numbers are so out of whack, but they’re disjointed enough to catch your attention.
Off the bat, sales were so robust out the gate that they literally added a second show. That being the case, discounted prices were near nine existent if not at all. Next, this was one of the highest attendances of all recorded shows so far. So you have high volume, high sales rate, and nonexistent discounts. This all adds up to some of the best numbers of the tour. Well...the best laid schemes o' mice an' men gang aft a-gley.
As it stands the $85.48 is currently the lowest average ticket price of the tour. Add on top of that the fact that the gate barely made it to $1.2M. Other attendances with ~13,500 or better made considerably more, some $500,000 more. It’s wuite the divergence.
Okay, so maybe it’s just the Montreal market. Some regions are just different monetarily from others. Nope, I don’t think it’s that either. Let’s look at what KISS did here in 2009 compared to today.
KISS
Bell Centre
Montreal, QC, Canada
July 13, 2009
$992,525

Average price per ticket $73.16
KISS
Bell Centre
Montreal, QC, Canada
Mar. 19, 2019
$1,214,421
14,207
Average price per ticket $85.48
In 2009 the ATP of $73.16 was one of the highest of that year. In 2019 the aforementioned ATP of $85.48 remains the lowest. It’s truly a tale of two cities.
Something is definitely off. I’d love to know the how’s and why’s of it. Maybe time will tell.

Maybe the discounts were fewer, but with the highest price tickets. Still would have to be on quite a few though. I would have guessed a gross of at least 1.6M for a show with 14,000 attendees...nibbler1982 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 14, 2019 8:30 am The Montreal boxscore is quite the anomaly.
