Funny, some people ignore what was said and shoehorn whatever they’d like into a conversation.
Childish if you’d ask me.

The amount of money dynamic pricing is producing vs other tours is phenomenal. And the band is hitting the 96% mark of their goal of 100% sellout.
Funny again the usual suspects here losing what limited grey matter they actually possess over a few $10 tickets. While the band makes millions more per show than ANY other tour. By almost a factor of 2.
$143,700,000 for AWT, 193 shows or $729,441 gross per show. or $52 average ticket price. 14,000 average attendance.
vs
$60,481,957 for EOTR, 46 shows reported or $1,314,825 gps. or $110.78 per ticket average. 11,869 average attendance
Adjusting for inflation $$$$1997 $1,166,064.84 per show gross.... vs..... 2019 $1,314,825 per show gross
Adjusting for inflation $$$$1997 $83.13 per ticket avg...............vs......2019 $110.78 per ticket avg.
So the band is pulling in 2,131 less bottoms per show....
By charging an extra $27.65 per ticket.....
And earning an extra $148,760.16 per show....
And meeting 96% of their Pre tour estimates / objectives ...
THATS Dynamic Pricing.
WOW .... WHAT A FLOP

I remember talk of Ace and low ticket price and EOTR Fredo's had a field day.

Re: New EOTR Boxscores
Pssst.....it's already been repeated, by more than one person, that the average ticket prices of today have more than doubled the standard inflation rate since 1996. It was actually already doubled by 2016, before dynamic pricing took off, so who knows what that number is today. As much as it's been pointed out, I expect the usual 2 or 3 people to continue gleefully ignoring that fact...

The point he was making, which was evident from what he wrote, was that he was surprised at the low number and wondered if Glenn's absence had hurt them in that market.

Re: New EOTR Boxscores
See, this is the problem here in a nutshell.
I wrote EXACTLY what the post was about. It was clearly evident in my comments.
Unfortunately I have people so smitten with me the have to attach themselves just to be close. It doesn’t matter if the argument makes sense or not. It’s incredibly creepy.
Here it is again.

Being that I have my finger on the pulse of the live music industry I’m constantly scouring the Billboard Boxscores. It was great to see how well KISS did in Zurich. Actually doubling their last trip here in 2015.
On this week’s Current Boxscore the Eagles stats came up for their show at Hallenstadion. Anyone with a keen eye can see it was an anomaly. This new version of the band sans Glenn Frey does EXTREMELY well. I loved their show at the Garden and Vince Gill is a BEAST (I’ve been told he’s the only member not using backing tracks but I digress). Anyhow, anyone with a keen eye would see the Zurich figures were an evident outlier.
When the Eagles were last here in 2014 they played two shows. In 2019 it was only one and the stats were poor, for them that is. The only difference this time is no Glenn Frey. I was wondering perhaps he solo was abnormally big in this region and that might have made the difference.
Whilst my original post wasn’t quite as in depth, anyone with a first grade reading level can see I said the exact same thing. Just less words.
Doesn’t matter to the stalkers though. They’ll trumpet their ignorance (real or feigned) just to get a touch.
Odd.

Re: New EOTR Boxscores
Serious question, and I've asked before, so apologies if already answered: are these gate numbers being reported with or without the service fees attached to the "face value"? Considering it's a 20-25% differential, it's something worth knowing and getting on the same page on IMO, since some people cite the prices with fees and others don't.

What were they doing... GIVING AWAY or SELLING tickets on the inside for $5 or less just so they could "CLAIM" it was sold out??!
That's why these numbers are getting MORE MEANINGLESS...... something really fishing is going on to boost TERRIBLE crowds.

As I’ve said a million times before, attendance can be manipulated.
Gate cannot.
That’s why success in the music industry is determined by gate receipts.
But since you mentioned attendance...
I believe North Little Rock’s boxscore just raised EOTR’s average.

Regardless of the gate totals, and people can think what they want of them, I am betting that P and G would be more than happy with 12K people and 750K gates for the rest of the tour. So would the promoters I would think.

Those two are already in and they barely scratched the attendance. Sure a soft one or two could still remain. Although with the majority of the large European and strong recent NA dates to come? I see a tremendous upside.

And Brooklyn was a DOG.
Brooklyn had one of the lowest avg tickets (before Little Rock) $89
Spokane $87.58
Omaha $86.54
Little Rock $63
You can bet some SHENANIGANS went on there to make it "appear" sold out or close to it. NY shows should be the highest avg ticket price of all.

I'm sure the per-ticket-average is a bit disconcerting for Gene and Paul. Compared to the $113/ticket average they had on the first leg in the U.S., this low ticket average leaves a potential $500,000 on the table each night.
They did such amazing publicity and PR to kick off the tour. 2019 will go down as probably the most successful year in KISS' career, financially. But they need to really step up their marketing and PR again for 2020 or the numbers may continue to dwindle.

Re: New EOTR Boxscores
If all of the available tickets were purchased or given away for the Little Rock show, then some people didn't show up. We were at the top of 221 and most of our row and most of the six rows in front of us were empty. Most of the seats in the arena had people in them, yes, but there were close to 100 empty seats by us. I did see smaller pockets of empty seats in other areas, but not too many.
It was a fun show and I had a blast. Attendance-wise I wouldn't call it a sellout, but a nice, big, loud crowd who had fun. I'm glad it was a good crowd, because ticket sales initially were scary-slow for Little Rock. It was probably my second favorite Kiss show behind Alive 35 in the same venue back in Oct. 2009.

They did such amazing publicity and PR to kick off the tour. 2019 will go down as probably the most successful year in KISS' career, financially. But they need to really step up their marketing and PR again for 2020 or the numbers may continue to dwindle.
For this leg if it averages ~$750,000 I’d believe they were expecting more. When it’s all said and done I’m gonna guarantee it will be more. Not to mention if that’s what the dogs the low end are bringing in? Paul and Gene are probably counting they’re good fortune.
I do believe they’d be happy with a 10,000 / $750,000 average for the supposed next go ‘round in North America.

Re: New EOTR Boxscores
Regardless if they are legit sellouts or announced sellouts, if the money is there the tour will just keep going. I would bet this tour has another 100 dates left in it before the returns don’t pay the bills and then some...

What happens when they add in the supposed ~24,000 Noblesvilles and 20,000 Hersheys?
The three dogs I saw were Brooklyn, North Little Rock, and Oakland.

Those two are already in and they barely scratched the attendance. Sure a soft one or two could still remain. Although with the majority of the large European and strong recent NA dates to come? I see a tremendous upside.
When did you get to determine what’s a legitimate sellout and what isn’t?
Secondly, in all your infinite wisdom at what attendances would you consider those dates a legitimate sell out?

And Brooklyn was a DOG.
Brooklyn had one of the lowest avg tickets (before Little Rock) $89
Spokane $87.58
Omaha $86.54
Little Rock $63
You can bet some SHENANIGANS went on there to make it "appear" sold out or close to it. NY shows should be the highest avg ticket price of all.
It was the fourth show within a half hour radius.
It it drew ~12,000/$1,000,000.
If that equates to “a dog” on Planet Sphinxie so be it.

Re: New EOTR Boxscores
Only in Kiss world could making over a million dollars per night be regarded as a "dog".
I get that some people want to rip on the band, but holy crap, using the gate receipts for EOTR is a losing battle
"They only made a million dollars last night? What a bunch of losers Kiss are."
