They are going to charge for me for printing my own tickets, with my printer and ink in my home.
Haha. Fuck Off.
LiveNation, TicketMaster, and the nostalgia reunion / farewell / legacy act tour model have done a lot to kill off rock and metal. Rock and metal are for the youthful bands, not old men who need to retire. Then again, the "new" bands aren't very original or enjoyable either, which is likely due to record labels having zero confidence in the genre. As such they hire tons of knock off LARPing tribute acts parading as original.

Anyways, charging you money to print your tickets at your house is fucking ridiculous.

Thanks, Delta.
Honorable mention to folks refusing the vaccine.
No kidding. With the anti-vaccine mentality, these people should take it to the logical extreme of not giving their kids polio, rubella, mumps, etc. so that these diseases can all make their "rightful" return. Shaking my head at those who reject solid science.
I agree. Consult your Doctor and heed their advice. Pretty simple.

COMPLETELY IRRELEVANT.
The actual headline of the article is this…
“ Live Nation selling $20 “all-in” tickets to 1000 upcoming shows”
Verbatim!
It’s almost IDENTICAL to what I wrote. Yet you complain?????
In your attempt to push an agenda you’ve spun off in a myriad of tangents.
Please keep your eye on the ball.
Thanks.
There's no agenda, but upper echelon bands/artists on LN tours aren't included in the sale.

If anything, you have the agenda of pretending Kiss is among that group -- and whether it's the need to discount their shows or them playing 5k cap venues, they clearly aren't part of that group -- no matter how badly you wish they were.

It is what it is. Kiss aren’t the Rolling Stones, Springsteen, or U2. They can’t just show up and know that they’ll be playing to packed arenas and stadiums. They did great the first run of EOTR playing the farewell angle and got good press out of it. Now their farming markets trying to get the most out of the tour they can. They may not be playing the big arenas this time and may discount tickets but Gene and Paul will still make money. This year and next are likely the last hurrah so they’ll mine as much as they can.

It's like last year when I was watching Kiss tickets at Nassau Coliseum.....there were a bunch left approaching showtime, and I noticed two second-row tix right in front of Gene still for sale. Those were $750 each. First they were lowered to $500, and then the HOUR of the show (or a little before), they were lowered to $250 each, and one of them was sold. So one guy gambled by waiting it out on a great seat and saved himself half a grand, imagine finding out the guy next to you payed half a grand less! But hey, that's how the system works these days, it's good when you make it work in your favor.
Can't figure out why every person on the planet hates Ticketmaster...

The fees are borderline criminal tho'. Especially when the fees are related to ticket cost - it costs ticketmaster the same to mechanically process a ticket order for $20, than one for $1000.

On the plus side, if you like a band or artist that isn't an immediate sellout, and aren't too fussy about where you sit, waiting it out for a lower price can absolutely be a decent deal. I got my Kiss ticket for Barclay's in Brooklyn at a discount. That Nassau Coliseum guy made out VERY well. You can definitely score with that system.

Agreed that it's b*******. What are we going to do shut down for the rest of our lives? The rona is here to stay and we're just going to have to deal with it. I've had it twice and have been vaccinated. I'm glad I live in Florida where the governor has some balls and refuses to shut down.

What's bullshit?
That Delta exists, or that it could force institutions to revert to previous restrictions and strict guidelines and/or possible cancellations?
They just reinstated our mask order...

So Cruel wrote: Fri Jul 23, 2021 1:48 pm It is what it is.
And that's exactly why I believe technically after the EotR tour, Ace will probably be back for a handful of shows in the biggest markets. No way Gene and Paul will not play that card (avoiding the "Ace card" joke) if they can grab another $25 million or so in guarantees and new merch sales with Ace on it. I could be wrong but I'd even bet money on it.

And if they announce "and special appearance by Peter Criss" for a few dates, forgettaboutit.

Can we please not derail another thread with COVID BS.

I don't give a damn about everyone's smug opinions.

I asked her if it included the service fees, venue fees, delivery fees, parking fees.

She then bought a $400 Godzilla SDCC print from her favorite artist named SHAG instead.
Shag is cool! Met him a couple of times at some exhibits here in Melbourne. Would love to see him tackle KISS in one of his paintings.

Is this the print your wife bought?
She wasn’t able to get that one when it went on sale , she got this one

He did do a KISS one we have that one as well!
Ah, nice! And yes, that's right, he did a great KISS-themed one based on the Paul Lynde Halloween Special!
Yes ! It’s a great piece! That was our 2nd art purchase together. (First was a Basil Gogos AP for the Wolfman)
We tell the story as “I bought the KISS part and She bought the Shag part” 😆

It's like last year when I was watching Kiss tickets at Nassau Coliseum.....there were a bunch left approaching showtime, and I noticed two second-row tix right in front of Gene still for sale. Those were $750 each. First they were lowered to $500, and then the HOUR of the show (or a little before), they were lowered to $250 each, and one of them was sold. So one guy gambled by waiting it out on a great seat and saved himself half a grand, imagine finding out the guy next to you payed half a grand less! But hey, that's how the system works these days, it's good when you make it work in your favor.

But one poster thinks it's far better when that happens. He thinks it's best when shows don't sell and they only sell at the last minute. He believes weak demand is good. But sadly for kiss Dynamic pricing seems to only work one way -cutting the price

Trying to figure out what this Nassau nonsense has to do with Dot's not understanding how Dynamic pricing work.

Golly a show in NY had a higher avg than Atlanta. Who would guess?

They are going to charge for me for printing my own tickets, with my printer and ink in my home.
Haha. Fuck Off.
Wow... I'm all for capitalism and letting consumers decide with their wallets whether or not something is worth the price, but that's ridiculous.

How do they even justify charging you for printing out your own tickets? That's straight up gouging.

Yeah I don’t know. The last few events that I’ve attended, nascar race, nhra race, a couple of gigs at clubs have all been “ticketless”. We had our tickets on our phone when we entered.

Got four pretty decent seats about halfway up in the center section bleachers for the Milwaukee show today in the $20 sale. They were $63.50 plus fees before the sale.
