Re: Paul talks about the end of KISS
When it's a "final" show Kiss will definitely be amping it up even more. The last UK show will probably be scary, all the stuff they'll blow up. Same with the final Australian show, which is outdoors I believe. (Hope we get some Faq members reports for that one definitely.) The "final" final show, forget it.

Re: Paul talks about the end of KISS
But not many have complained about those songs - it was the rest of the songs on the albums those two songs are featured. Had the remaining material on those albums been as good as the songs he mentions (and add to those two 'Say Yeah') , then I'm sure his (and the band) efforts would've been more well-received.I thought Modern Day Delilah or Hell Or Hallelujah were as good as anything I’ve written and as good as anything we recorded, but understandably, it’s like new wine. It just hasn’t aged. So I’d rather not try to roll a stone up the hill.”

He’s admitting it’s getting to be too much on his 70-year-old body
Notice at the very top of his boots, Paul has dark colored knee braces I am surprise no one has addressed that before, that I have read anyway
Gene, especially, must really be having to push himself to get through a full show

Re: Paul talks about the end of KISS
So what does he want, a signed letter from all KISS fans saying "Yes we like those songs, O Passive Aggressive One"?KrazySwede wrote: ↑Fri May 07, 2021 7:09 pmBut not many have complained about those songs - it was the rest of the songs on the albums those two songs are featured. "So it’s odd to me that people always want you to do a new album, but then they go, ‘That’s great. Now play your hits.’"
It's "odd", not "interesting"? Also, some things are "funny" now, not "interesting". Does he pay attention to the criticism at Kissfaq?

Re: Paul talks about the end of KISS
So when fans criticise their stale beyond belief setlists and plead for deep cuts, that's a no because they just have to do all those "hits".
And when fans want a new album that's a no too because... apparently we just want the hits?
Either way, it's always the fans' fault. Play the hits, mom's basement, ad nauseam.

Re: Paul talks about the end of KISS
As I recall, during the whole reunion era it was Ace and Peter's fault that they could only play the "hits". I think it became our fault relatively recently.Tito wrote: ↑Fri May 07, 2021 11:53 pmSo when fans criticise their stale beyond belief setlists and plead for deep cuts, that's a no because they just have to do all those "hits".

Re: Paul talks about the end of KISS
When the current lineup came about it was "now we can play everything". For about five minutes. Somehow we the fans messed that up too, I'm sure.banks wrote: ↑Sat May 08, 2021 12:03 amAs I recall, during the whole reunion era it was Ace and Peter's fault that they could only play the "hits". I don't think too many people are clamouring for a new album to be honest bar that one guy that starts a thread about it every two weeks.FiveCardStud wrote: ↑Sat May 08, 2021 8:58 am The people who have spent nearly 10 years shitting on the two new albums, are asking for more matieral.

I'd love new music from KISS.Glasgow Kiss wrote: ↑Sat May 08, 2021 9:07 amI don't think too many people are clamouring for a new album to be honest bar that one guy that starts a thread about it every two weeks.FiveCardStud wrote: ↑Sat May 08, 2021 8:58 am The people who have spent nearly 10 years shitting on the two new albums, are asking for more matieral.

It's so much more than the actual music itself.
It's the discussions leading up to it , the anticipation, the not knowing or mystery around what it's going to sound like.
A new KISS album is exciting times even if the music in the end is subpar.

Great comments. Especially when no one, but no one, has asked for new material.TheSpoiler wrote: ↑Sat May 08, 2021 9:09 amExactly.FiveCardStud wrote: ↑Sat May 08, 2021 8:58 am The people who have spent nearly 10 years shitting on the two new albums, are asking for more matieral.

Same old shit from Paul, pretending they will retire. Paul of all people will squeeze every penny from KISS fans before he leaves money on the table by retiring. Unless Paul drops dead, KISS will tour in some capacity. Hell, the VIP meet & greet prices will likely go up! Meet KISS before they are dead and gone lol.

Re: Paul talks about the end of KISS
Bring in the extra pods! Honestly I think they are just best doing Australia, then cancelling the current 'tour' and do 6 stadium shows in the US, 3 in Europe (and festival appearances) and 2 in South America. Play the 25 songs as promised at the very beginning and bring the best of the stage. Admit that two years of age is a lot even for them and just get it out of the way in a few months rather than continuing for a whole year. Do one last show January 2023 in New York to celebrate KISS 50.
