Almost $2900 a month property taxes? California is insane
Which is one of the reasons Ace left I would assume
He doesn’t have Toms cash flow
Ace rented in California.

I understand what you're saying. Ultimately it comes down to business - Vinnie could have had a small percentage of something big, or 100% of something small. He gambled on himself and lost. It's like Vegas - you can play with the house (the casino), or play on your own. Tommy chose the safe route, played with the house and won.
That's apples and oranges.

Come to think of it, I'm actually kind of surprised that Gene and Paul still live in California considering how much they love money and hate parting with it. You'd think they would be interested in living somewhere with much lower property taxes and no state income tax.

Where did Bruce move to??

Ya move to NV, TN, FL or TX (or keep your "Primary" residence in one of those states.

Bruce was smart to go to Vegas. Now if he would have done it much earlier before prices really took off.

I remember the guys in Slaughter were picking up houses in Henderson for a song in the early 90's. Real estate in Vegas area then was very cheap.

That'' why Vinnie was on the list and top banner rockstars who moved to Nashville. It was hilarious it upset on member because Vinnie was more important to get readers attention than Peter Frampton.
Vinnie Vincent never was,or will be,held in the same regard or gather the same respect as Peter Frampton. If you think otherwise, you're delusional.

The ultimate KISS Kollectable; a band members house!
Stunning home. Heck of a view too.
Oh you can see Gene one day....."Everyone, this is the opportunity of a lifetime....we're moving, and you can own the Ultimate Kiss Kollectable.....my house! For just $25 million, you and three friends get an hour with me, I give you the keys personally, and I will even leave a secret gift in the closet!"
Haha totally!
How about “Tour the house that bad reviews built; The Simmons Estate. For just $5,000 you can be part of a 2 hour guided tour to explore Gene’s mansion. See the KISS room, where every item of KISS merchandise every released is on show, the office where multi-million dollar deals are made every single day, see Shannon’s Playboy room featuring wall to wall nude pin ups, meet the Simmons-Tweed kids, pat the dog, get your photo taken with the gardener...”
I'd like a photo taken with, better, BY the former gutter cleaner!
Laugh all you want....you see who had the last laugh.

I can't believe that people are still using the same tired ass lines about that stuff.
He's free to have the last laugh.
I'm free to use the same tired ass lines.
You're free to dissent.
Peace, bro.
Fair enough,my friend!

Paul was actually listed of the owner on this... it sold in 2017. Palms Place in Vegas

I bet Paul listed this as his "official residence" and the money he saved in CA taxes.... he could pay cash with only 1 year of tax savings

It never made sense that Gene didn't do the same thing.

Renting was far worse for Ace. Ace was paying that guys mortgage payment, insurance & property taxes in the RENT he was being charged... you can bet on that. But Ace got no equity in the house.

I'd maybe guess Paul wants to live in Beverly Hills solely for the zip code and 'bragging rights.' And maybe some personal satisfaction. "Screw all you from the past who gave me a hard time, I live in Beverly Hills."

As for Gene, it's probably Shannon keeping them there because that's where her 'career' is. I still say, just for example, that it's no coincidence that Gretzky was traded to LA in 1989 where his actress wife worked.

Absolutely, I used him just to emphasize that no one should want to throw away money, no matter how much you have. God bless 'im and all the other insanely-salaried baseball players lol. I'd take it :)
No reason to want to throw away money.

Always get something for ya cash.

As for me, I'll pay higher taxes for better services.

But... when it comes to land in Cali...ugh...

I have ea 3500 square foot 3 story Victorian in STL that's been converted into a two family flat.

For what I pay in mortgage MINUS the first floor rent, I couldn't get a corner of a studio in San Francisco...and that's where I want to live.

I agree. Tommy seems more like a Texas guy. Nashville seems to be a pretty hot place right now for those in the business.

Nice house, the guy works hard, good for him.

Which makes sense. If KISS isn't in business (no regular touring, no regular press, no regular rehearsals, etc.), there's no need to be near Gene and Paul, and no need for Eric to stay in LA. I think Tommy will be a part of KISS business after the EOTR tour, so I wouldn't be surprised if he's just buying a new place in LA. But who knows.

My guess is that if it weren't for Gene's bank account, she would be a regular on the autograph circuit. I don't mean this as a put down, but if we're being honest....what else would she really be able to do?

Well, he could be buying a place in L.A. and staying in the West Coast. I think he said in a recent interview, he'd still be involved in KISS somehow, even after the EOTR tour was over. Besides, he still has family and friends back in Portland, OR., from where Tommy is originally, so I am thinking he would want to stay near the West Coast.

I bet she would make some nice money on the autograph circuit, but she probably figures why bother. I checked her IMDB, turns out her last acting job was five years ago in a film called "Sex, Marriage and Infidelity" that seems to have been seen by almost no one. I can see her wanting to stay in LA still, she seems like the type who likes that "life."

What's Shannon's job now? Is she still making soft porn films? Surely she's a bit old for it?
My guess is that if it weren't for Gene's bank account, she would be a regular on the autograph circuit. I don't mean this as a put down, but if we're being honest....what else would she really be able to do?
I could see her turning up in a Rob Zombie movie.

The poor man ( Vinnie ) is obviously mentally ill. He was never a " star" , prodigy , or virtuoso. He simply cannot function long enough to make a career , or follow through on business matters. I knew that when he was bitching at a LIU signing when I met him. He was bitching about " having to stand there " to two guys in suits. They told him " not going to discuss it , were in public". THAT is my impression of Vinnie.

I think it was 2015 when we first caught wind of a divorce with Amber.
Who could have seen that coming?! ha ha I sure hope he had a pre-nup!

She was born in 1982. They met in 2003. Married in 2006. SHE WAS ONLY 21 when they met! He was 43 when they met.

If that doesn't scream.... you'd better get her to sign on the dotted line or you'll be giving up alot of $$$$

I see nothing wrong with what two consenting adults choose to do with their time regardless of their ages.

Amber currently seems quite happy with her new beau Steve Lukather.

I can’t speak of the transaction on a personal level.

And this is no disrespect to Tommy...because I KNOW I don’t know the first thing about “musicianship”.

But it appears she’s traded up as far as guitarists go.

Luke’s a beast.

Not many would say no to Amber Thayer.
If this was Vinnie with a 21 year old you’d be screaming “way to go Vinnie”.
Go listen to your box set... Oh wait.

Wow you certainly get a lot of bang for your buck. Seems like really good deal. I'd buy it or equity share it if I could.

Taxes aren't everything. If you have the resources, California is amazing.

Many rock musicians have rocked the cradle like Thayer has. He isn't the first. Jimmy Page is currently in a relationship with a woman 46 years younger than himself.

I don’t know about you guys...

But personally it warms my heart to know Don McLean and his significant other have bridged that 49 year age gap and are getting along famously.

Good for them.
