Thursday, October 31, 2002 8:06:58 PM - Jury selection in Vinnie's ex-wife's murder trial...
From (CTNOW) HARTFORD, Conn. -- Jury selection has begun in the murder trial of a man accused of killing a Shelton mother who disappeared while working for an escort service. Several juror have been chosen for the Superior Court trial of Gregory McArthur, Senior State's Attorney Gary Nicholson said Thursday. Police arrested McArthur, 41, on Sept. 2, 2000, and charged him with the January 1998 murder of Annemarie Cusano.

After his extradition from a Massachusetts prison, McArthur led police to a wooded area in Suffield where they found Cusano's remains, police said. Hartford Police Detective James Rovella testified in October 2000 that McArthur confessed to strangling Cusano. Cusano worked as a secretary and moonlighted for an escort service when she was killed, according to court documents. In January 1998, police said Cusano went to an appointment at McArthur's rooming house in Hartford's West End. Her car was found near the rooming house and a bag of bloody clothing was found in his room. Just months before the 42-year-old woman's disappearance, McArthur was released from prison after serving six years on sexual assault charges. After Cusano disappeared, McArthur was jailed in Massachusetts on an unrelated charge.

After his extradition from Massachusetts, McArthur led police to a wooded area in Suffield where they found Cusano's remains, police said. McArthur told investigators he fought Cusano in his apartment and choked her after she threatened him with a knife. McArthur, who has pleaded innocent, is charged with capital felony, murder, felony murder, first-degree kidnapping and first-degree robbery. The trial is expected to begin Nov. 12. «Post A Comment»

Monday, October 21, 2002 5:26:07 AM - Peter Confirms Melbourne Symphonic Show...
(From: PeterCriss.net) According to Peter's official website, "KISS will perform with a symphony orchestra in Australia next year. Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons and Peter Criss will fly to Melbourne next week to announce the show with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. Just last week, Paul Stanley spoke to Undercover News saying a performance by Kiss with an orchestra 'would be an event to remember and it would be stunning, What could be accomplished by a band with our sonic prowess and an orchestra would leave most people lobotomised sonically'. The show is expected to be a one-off and will happen at Telstra Dome in Melbourne, possibly in March. At this stage it is uncertain if Ace Frehley will be included in the line-up". So far, Peter has added, "KISS founding member and drummer Peter Criss has agreed to perform a concert in Melbourne, Australia on February 28th, 2003. 'I wanted to come back to Australia to perform for my loyal and lovable fans, and I am sure 'The Magic' will live on down under. The Cat has many lives! Look out crocodile hunter!'" «Post A Comment»

Tuesday, October 01, 2002 4:21:07 AM - Gene doesn't want you downloading music?
Yahoo.com NEW YORK (AP) - Would you stop illegally downloading music files if Britney Spears asked you to stop? And Brian Wilson? And Eminem ( news - web sites)? And Stevie Wonder, Shakira, Madonna ( news - web sites), P.O.D., Marilyn Manson and 3 Doors Down? They've all signed on to an ad campaign aimed at discouraging illegal music file trading on the Internet. The full-page ads ran into Thursday's New York Times and other papers. Spears will appear in TV commercials saying that stealing music online is as bad as stealing a CD from a store. Other artists who have signed on to the campaign are Barenaked Ladies ( news - web sites), Elton John, Gene Simmons, Hootie and the Blowfish, Vanessa Carlton, Rush and The Wallflowers. Meanwhile, Congress is debating a bill that would allow the entertainment industry more powers in disrupting illegal downloads. It's not expected to pass before Congress adjourns next month... «Post A Comment»

Monday, September 30, 2002 9:31:16 AM - An insanely odd, but possibly cool rumor...
MelodicRock.com is reporting that KISS will be playing Australia in March 2003 for a one-off concert at Melbourne's Colonial Stadium. The strange part is that the band will allegedly feature KISS playing with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra (can anyone say Metallica or Deep Purple), who will be all wearing Kiss make-up. Apparently the show will be filmed and recorded for DVD & CD releases. Even more interesting is that allegedly Peter Criss has been signed to do the show. There is no word on Ace Frehley participating. AS USUAL, THIS SHOULD BE TREATED AS A COMPLETELY WILD AND UNSUBSTANTIATED RUMOR UNTIL CONFIRMED/DENIED BY THE BAND'S OFFICIAL WEBSITE AT KISSONLINE... «Post A Comment»
