August 28, 1997 - Remasters/COS UK Updates...
Just got off the phone with Mercury's Press Department, and can happily report the following:
ALL of the Remasters will be released here on September 22nd. Carnival Of Souls (she even knew what the new album was called before I told her!) will be released on September 27th. Why COS should be released here before the US anticipated release date, I don't know, but the representative was specific. You can keep up-to-date with UK news on the non-US news page at my trading site.
August 27, 1997 - KISS Jack Docherty Show Appearance...
KISS was on Channel 5's Jack Docherty show tonight in a repeat of the interview they gave prior to the Finsbury Park concert in July. Well it was brief, and it was on later than advertised due to the football, but it was kindof funny, especially since I missed it the first time it was on. Jack Docherty, the host, made fun of Peter's makeup - why did you get to be a pussy cat when the others got to be lovers, demons and spacemen? Ace nearly fell over laughing. Gene was in serious mode and didn't really say much until the 6,000 condoms were mentioned: You give the fans show and take care of them afterwards.... Paul & Gene got to sit, Ace & Peter had to stand.... A quick clip of the "Shout It Out Loud" video... closeups on the boots.... about three minutes, but did most Brits really get it?
August 11, 1997 - Release schedule issues...
COS is not on the release schedule either - though this may change now that the release seems more concrete. Haven't seen any dolls around yet, except the ones I work with =)
