KISSFAQ Says: There's still no confirmed date for the release of this product, so when it gets released is anyone's guess. I hope that the editing doesn't cause epileptic seizures like "Symphony" did, and that there is a menu-option to just play the show without the interuptions. It's interesting to note that "Psycho Circus" seems to have been cut from the release - it was included at both shows recorded for the DVD. Also, it is rather sad to note that only "Love Her All I Can" and "Tears Are Falling" have never been featured on a KISS live release, especially when "All The Way" was performed during the tour. The DVD was apparently recorded at Nissan Pavilion, Washington DC July 24, 2004 and Verizon Wireless Amp, Virginia Beach, VA July 25, 2004. See the "Rock The Nation" tour stats page for the sets performed those nights.

Thursday, August 25, 2005 3:34:05 AM - Gene's reality show scores over Tommy Lee's...
(From MediaLife Magazine:) "In the face-off between new reality shows about aging hard-rockers returning to school, score a victory for Kiss’s Gene Simmons over Motley Crue’s Tommy Lee. Also score a victory for cable over broadcast. NBC's cloying “Tommy Lee Goes to College” never establishes why that rocker wants to be there. That leaves the series with a sense of aimlessness. There's a goof going on but we're not really sure who's being goofed. By contrast, VH1’s “Gene Simmons’ Rock School,” which premieres tomorrow night, has a clear sense of purpose and narrative development. “Rock School” is also cheerful and even cute, if predictable. (After its premiere, “Rock School” switches to 10:30 on Fridays, following repeats of NBC’s “Tommy Lee.”)

Wednesday, August 10, 2005 5:00:27 AM - More Kathy Valentine comments on Ace...
(From Classic Rock Revisited) "Ace is very reclusive. That was really one of the first tracks that I did for the album. I met Ace because a friend of mine brought him to my birthday party. We hit it off. We were just hanging out and he was really such a sweetheart. He actually offered to do it. I told him that I was going into the studio in a couple of days and he offered to play on it. How often do you get a rock icon to appear on your record? I really like that he is playing on a track that is not anything like a Kiss song – it is more like a Blondie song. He really did a great solo that is in a really different context than people are used to. Gilby and I were recording him and when he did this solo he said, 'Let me do another one.' We both said, 'No, that is the one. You got it.'"

KISSFAQ Says: Ace plays the guitar solo on "Bad Choice" on Kathy's "Light Years" album available from Amazon, HERE... «Post A Comment»

KISSFAQ Says: This looks really cool. The track list is a nice broad selection from KISS' various eras and recording history, and there's a couple of definately appealing obscure tracks included. The inclusion of Bruce Kulick and Shirley's Temple shouldn't hurt either. With the artwork by Ken Kelly, it looks like a great deal of attention has been given to the overall package. I look forward to reviewing this CD... «Post A Comment»
