The KISS Concertology 2003-6 Stats & More has been added to the site. This section is presented using Adobe Acrobat PDF. It is essentially the same information that is included in the original "Tour Stat" sections, though some validation, especially to the 2003 tour, has been done. This document will replace the original three tour stat sections. Check it out, HERE. As is apparent, this is one of the appendices from Volume III of the "KISS Album Focus." Thursday, July 27, 2006 08:44:31 PM - 2005/6 Tour Stats Page Added...
As the KISSFAQ provided for the "World Domination" (2003) and "Rock The Nation" (2004) tours, we've added a "2005-6 Gig Stats" page featuring setlists, set notes, and the somewhat fascinating (or not) "Song Performance Analysis," HERE. Kinda illustrative don't ya think.
What a memorable KISS last night. Thanks KISS, now wish I'd got tickets to the other show as well! «Post A Comment»

Thursday, July 20, 2006 7:38:14 AM - Fukuoka setlist...
KISS' second show of 2006 included another shock in Fukuoka today/tonight! The set list apparently consisted of (and a big shout out to spaceace2001 over on the KISSin' UK forums): Detroit Rock City / Makin' Love / Watchin' You / King Of The Night Time World / Deuce / Christine Sixteen / Firehouse / Got to Choose / Kissin' Time / Heaven's On Fire / I Love It Loud / Love Gun / God of Thunder / Do You Love Me? / Shout It Out Loud / I Was Made For Lovin' You / Black Diamond / Let Me Go, Rock 'N Roll / God Gave Rock And Roll To You II / Rock And Roll All Nite. However, the band also played a bunch of other partial songs including: Suziyaki, Love Her All I Can,
Parasite, She, Shock Me, and a couple attempts at Hotter than Hell! This show marked the first time, since May/June 1974, that "Kissin' Time" had been performed by the band electrically in concert. «Post A Comment»
Tuesday, July 18, 2006 10:51:44 AM - Another Box Set Coming?
According to the KISS Kollector website, "Universal Music will be releasing another KISS boxed set later this year. Set for an October 24 release via their Island label, the box will consist of KISS’ three (a)live albums that saw the light of day on a Universal label: Alive!, Alive II and Alive III (so obviously, Sanctuary Records’ Symphony: Alive IV album will not be part of the box)." Well a little birdy tells me that this box set will also include the original abandoned "Alive IV" that was supposed to be released way back in 2001 as the band embarked on their "Farewell Tour." «Post A Comment»

Monday, July 17, 2006 12:36:43 PM - New Japanese Box Set Detailed...

Check out the KISSFAQ comments & photos of the staggering new Japanese Box Set,
HERE.
Please NOTE: It has been suggested that this box, though not the CD contents, is an UNOFFICIAL item. One of KISSFAQ message board posters reports an email from a Japanese Record store that states: "The box set is not an official release. A certain CD shop makes a box and put the official CDs into it and sell it as a box set. Therefore we don't sell it as it is not the official one" (Thanks Casaboontha). If that is indeed the case, with the amount of time that this product was publicized prior to the release of it and the new series of Japanese albums then too damn funny. This is a high-quality item, and it is simply fact that not all stores receive items for such promotional use. Some stores also gave out promotional posters... «Post A Comment»

Monday, July 10, 2006 2:31:37 PM - KISS on new compilation...

(From: Blabbermouth) "According
to Top40-Charts.com, Time Life has set a July 25 release date for "Heavy Metal: The First 20 Years", a tribute to the bands
that rocked, filled with songs that manage to be both nostalgic yet as relevant as ever. Vintage metal videos still run on
VH1 Classic around the clock and fans still wear their beloved tour t-shirts, but this time around, their adolescent kids
are wearing them too. Filled with songs from the first two decades of earsplitting rock (1964-1984), "Heavy Metal" boasts
stadium anthems by ALICE COOPER, KISS and the SCORPIONS and the over-the-top orchestrations by acts like IRON BUTTERFLY
and QUEENSRŸCHE. QUIET RIOT's pop-crossover hit, "Cum on Feel The Noize" is tempered by DIO's sonic masterpiece "Holy
Diver" and MOTÖRHEAD's speed metal "Ace of Spades", showcasing the full spectrum of the heavy metal genre. Defined by its
loud instrumentation, relatively simple song structure and raucous lyrics, heavy metal first roared on both sides of the
Atlantic in the 1960s and continues to be one of the most enduring and popular forms of rock. "Heavy Metal: The First 20
Years" (view cover here) track listing:
01. THE KINKS - You Really Got Me
02. IRON BUTTERFLY - In A Gadda Da Vida
03. ALICE COOPER - 18
04. URIAH HEEP - Easy Livin'
05. KISS - Detroit Rock City
06. TED NUGENT - Free For All
07. BLUE ÖYSTER CULT - Godzilla
08. RAINBOW - Kill The King
09. MOTÖRHEAD - Ace Of Spades
10. JUDAS PRIEST - Breaking The Law
11. ALDO NOVA - Hot Love
12. HELIX - Heavy Metal Love
13. QUIET RIOT - Cum On Feel The Noize
14. DIO - Holy Diver
15. QUEENSRŸCHE - Queen Of The Reich
16. KROKUS - Screaming In The Night
17. ACCEPT - Balls To The Wall
18. SCORPIONS - Rock You Like A Hurricane... «Post A Comment»
Monday, July 10, 2006 2:31:37 PM - KISSFAQ Message Boards
In a nutshell, the KISSFAQ message board database suffered a problem that was not recoverable. I could go into detail, but
the energy is not worth expending (not that some people would believe the story anyway. Whatever, I'm a dick, tool, wanker).
Data was lost. No big deal, right? Move on. Get on with life, after all, it was only a friggin' message board not a life-
support system. Right? Wrong.
Some people got bitchy. Some people got abusive. Conspiracy theorists started spewing their crap. As usual some KISS fans
think they're owed something. No you're not, and certainly not by a poxy unofficial website. Well, that and many of the
other issues that the board has caused in recent months are simply not worth it - too much time and energy has been spent
trying to keep the place as pleasant as possible, without much success. Add to that a couple of other recent attacks...
For now, sod it. Critics be damned. A very limited "bored" has been restored

Wednesday, July 05, 2006 8:20:19 AM - Rob Zombie Comments on "Rock Honors"
(From: Revue) Rob Zombie was recently asked by Revue Magazine about his "VH1 Rock Honors" experience:
"It was f****n' awesome. It was great. I mean, I had kind of jammed with some of those people before, like Tommy
Lee, obviously — he's played on a bunch of my records, so I knew Tommy, and I had played with Slash one other time, when
we both played with Alice Cooper, for a live record in Cabo. But, it was great, there was a moment when we were
soundchecking and…all those guys are fantastic, and it was awesome to play with them. But the biggest thrill for me was
playing with Ace Frehley. Because, thinking back to being a fourth-grader, buying 'Destroyer' and looking at the
pictures, and it's just mind-blowing that I'm standing onstage and he's like (in a voice that sounds like he just sucked
helium), 'Hey, Rob that sounds pretty good, all right let's play!' And I'm thinkin', 'Holy sh*t. Ace Frehley.' And just
hangin' out, like we got off stage and Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons were there, and they're like, 'Hey, good job. Sounds
good.' It's like, 'This is f*****g surreal.' Oh it's bizarre. Not even you get to meet them, you get to meet them as
you're walking onstage to perform with them. That's the trippy part. Just like, I mean, I've known Alice Cooper for a
while, but when we went through Arizona this time he came down to the show, and he stood on the side of the stage while
we played. I never get over being thrilled by that"... «Post A Comment»
