This "News" page generally only relates to matters of interest to the KISSFAQ. There's no need to replicate news that can be seen on other KISS websites. If you use information appearing on this or any other KISSFAQ page, in print (fanzines) or online (directly quoted or rewritten), please have the courtesy to say where it came from. If printing in fanzines, I'd love a copy sent to the KISSFAQ PO Box. Should you want official announcements please visit the band's official website at: KISSONLINE.COM.

expected to start in July/August and run through September/October. Apparantly Saliva will get a 25 minute slot, with KISS
following with 75 minutes, and Aerosmith closing with 75/85 minutes. While some are calling it a co-headlining tour,
Aerosmith will close all shows. Some unconfirmed dates are:

8/15/03, Verizon Wireless Music Center, Nobelsville, IN
8/21/03, Post Gazette Pavillion, Burgettstown, PA

Tuesday, March 25, 2003 6:53:18 PM - Joey Kramer comments on Aerosmith/KISS Tour
Joey Kramer, the drummer in Aerosmith, recently commented on the Aerosmith/KISS tour in Classic Rock Magazine: "Kramer
was equally candid on the subject of the tour and admitted the pairing - Aerosmith headlining with kiss opening - was
an odd one. "If we'd been offered this five years ago I would have said absolutely not. I don't think the integrity of
my band could withstand going out with a cartoon/circus act like Kiss. But now in a different place: I can see the
entertainment value, especially from a tickeybuyer's viewpoint".
"The promoters think it's a great thing. Kiss fans think it sucks, and some Aerosmith fans aren't happy with it either.
But it might surprise a lot of people. We're each doing short sets of 75 minutes, and if we all get along like good little
boys and girls we may even take it indoors... stay on the road for who knows how long"... «Post A Comment»
Tuesday, March 25, 2003 9:44:38 AM - Status of the Tourdate Archive?
I've had several questions about the KISSFAQ Tourdate Archive
and whether it is going to be corrected now that KISS Alive Forever has been published. In short, NO. The tourdate archive
has been developed separately from Curt Gooch and Jeff Suhs' incredible book and I have no intention of using their mass
of research as an easy "out" to my own plans for the KISSFAQ Tourdate archive, which ties in with the future direction of
the website. Some slight indication of the direction the Tourdate Archive will be taking can be seen on entries for 2002-3.
I strongly suggest that anyone interested in the live history of the band purchase "KISS Alive Forever",
HERE. It's easily available, also being stocked or orderable from book shops,
affordable, and worth every cent. It's a very in-depth look at the live history of the band which nicely
compliments the FAQ's "KISS Album Focus", which details the general history of the band and members without concentrating
on live performances, available HERE... «Post A Comment»
Friday, March 21, 2003 5:48:19 PM - Aerosmith/KISS Summer tour?
Some concert listings would seem to indicate that the Aerosmith/KISS Summer tour is on. One show, listed at
Clear Channel lists Post Gazette Pavilion, Burgettstown, PA, on August
21st. This listing can also be seen on the venue's website. No official confirmation or announcement from either camp yet... «Post A Comment»

Wednesday, March 05, 2003 11:38:05 AM - Gene Splits
(From Blabbermouth.net) "KISS bassist/vocalist Gene
Simmons' skintight black leather pants split at the seams after he wolfed down a fried fish appetizer, salad, soup,
seafood pasta, and a salmon entree at Ago, a hip eatery in Los Angeles, according to Star magazine. Despite the
embarrassment, Gene placed his jacket over his exposed lap and proceeded to devour pine nut cake for dessert"...

Saturday, March 01, 2003 8:18:26 AM - Mark St. John CD Finally Out
Mark St. John's full-length CD release is out. "Magic Bullet Theory" has been expected for quite some time. If interested,
you should purchase the CD from one of the trusted KISS vendors rather than direct from Lochness Records who seriously
mess people around - I ordered the CD, which was advertized
as being available, in December, had emails ignored and was finally lied to about a shipping date. A simple note on the
website or email would have been a simple courtesy. Got my money back, but
won't deal with them again, but there's no reason Mark should pay for their unprofessionalism... «Post A Comment»
