Gene attended the 2002 "Rock The Vote" Patrick Lippert Awards Ceremony at the House Of Blues in Los Angeles, CA,
on Tuesday 26th. As some may remember, KISS did "Rock The Vote" radio spots in the early 1990's... «Post A Comment»
Tuesday, February 26, 2002 7:29:23 PM - KISS Exposed DVD Release (USA) / "Live In Las Vegas" DVD Update
The first in the back catalog of KISS Video releases, Exposed, is finally due to be released on DVD on March 19th.
This is simply a single DVD release, not combined with any other video release (like Xtreme Closeup/Konfidential was in
Europe) and contains no new footage (apparently). It's available for advance order from CD NOW, through the following links:

KISS: Live In Las Vegas
The "Live in Las Vegas" DVD release may not happen (it is not an official product), but it can't hurt to advance order it - the release date has been pushed
back to March 26th! The DVD apparently features the 4 songs KISS played, along with "bonus coverage with 5 camera angles,
plus an interview with the band upon the eve of their farewell tour. Also features the band launching their first-ever
theatrical film: Detroit Rock City with a mini performance at the premiere". At the DRC Premier, KISS performed "Cold
Gin", "Rock And Roll All Nite", "Detroit Rock City", and "Shout It Out Loud"... «Post A Comment»

Friday, February 22, 2002 8:20:54 AM - RUMOR: KISS to sign with Spitfire?
First Ace Frehley was linked with inking a solo deal with Spitfire Records, now KISS have been rumored to be
signing with the label. MelodicRock.com reports, "rumour has it
that Kiss will sign to Spitfire Records, not only for the release of Alive 4, but also for new studio albums". Naturally,
take that with a very big grain of salt, since Gene has recently commented that "Alive IV" will come out on Universal. Also
check the official news at KISSONLINE.COM before believing anything printed elsewhere (yes, including here)... «Post A Comment»
Wednesday, February 13, 2002 4:51:08 PM - See Bruce in the new Grand Funk Railroad Promo Video
Grand Funk Railroad has a new promo video for 2002 out on their website at www.grandfunkrailroad.com. Apart
from showing Bruce performing with the band, including his incredible "Star Spangled Banner" solo, there's the damned fine
music synonomous with the band's name. Check it out, it's over 7 minutes long! «Post A Comment»
Sunday, February 10, 2002 7:19:48 AM - Pixelon iBash DVD set for release March 5th
Some may remember the abortive Pixelon iBash, a $10 Million dollar, technology preview concert in Las Vegas filmed on October 29, 1999
which featured the band playing outside of the main event, a 4 song performance which was lip-synched to a live recording
of "Love Gun", "Shout It Out Loud", and "Rock & Roll All Nite". Apparently the DVD will feature what was originally intended to be the live internet
webcast which never occured properly, due to hardware failures. We'll have to see if this actually does get released, since it
has apparently annoyed Gene, even though the company releasing it claims to own the rights to the broadcast. Pixelon went bust
in 2000 when it was discovered that they were passing off Microsoft Streaming technology as their own, and several members of
the company were facing criminal charges... «Post A Comment»
Sunday, February 10, 2002 7:19:48 AM - Gene on National Public Radio - Interview
Gene did an unusual, and some might say obnoxious, interview on National Public radio on the 4th. Judge for yourself, it's
available on the audio page in Windows Media Format. For playing Microsoft Windoze Media files (ASF/WMA) you can download

According to a list posting mentioned on KISS Asylum's BBS KISS performed "Shout It Out Loud", "Love Gun", "God Of Thunder",
"Lick It Up", and "Rock And Roll All Nite" which included some pyro and confetti. KISS played on a small stage to around
3500 people. Apparently only the vocals were live. Line up was Simmons/Stanley/Frehley/Singer... «Post A Comment»
Friday, February 01, 2002 2:01:13 PM - Latest Goldmine Explosive!
The latest issue of Goldmine Magazine is well worth purchase. It includes futher excellent interviews with Gene Simmons and
Paul Stanley, by Ken Sharp. Additionally, the kissfaq.com gets mention as a source for Tim Neeley's "interesting" price
guide and US discography, as does Tom Shannon's "Goldmine KISS Collectibles Price Guide" which is well-worth purchasing if
you want an excellent hardcopy discography/price guide. There's also an add for ordering the new Vinnie Vincent CD - same
source as I got my copy from. «Post A Comment»
