ISSUE #2
The "Midnight Special"

Filmed at NBC Studios in Burbank, CA on April 1, the "Midnight Special" marked KISS' return to national television for the first time since mid-1974. This television appearance was one of the few promotional attempts to keep the band visible during the "Dressed To Kill" period. The band filmed four songs for the show, though only three were broadcast. "Deuce" and "She," which included Ace Frehley's guitar solo, were broadcast during episode #124 on July 11, 1975.

"Black Diamond," with a repeat of "Deuce," were broadcast on November 28, 1975 (show #141). This second show would be hosted by Helen Reddy of "I Am Woman" fame, who had also been featured in the same show as KISS' earlier appearance in July. She was later a guest appearing on Gene Simmons' 1978 solo album. The fourth song, "C'mon And Love Me," has never been aired. "Black Diamond" has also been issued on the official "Midnight Special" DVD collection set.
