Has anyone been able to get this to run on modern systems?

I had it on my Sega Dreamcast that a girlfriend bought for me. Never could get into it.

I still own it on the Sega Dreamcast (sitting on the shelf in our living room right now). In fact, I have the in-store promo poster for it as well. That said, I never really liked it, as I'm just not into FPS game-play.

Re: Psycho Circus Nightmare Child PC Game
I actually finished the whole game. Wasn't great, but was good enough and was enjoyable....sort of like everything else KISS did around that time. Sorta making me want to go back and find a copy now just to see if I can run it under Windows 7.
Re: Psycho Circus Nightmare Child PC Game
Let's just get PewDiePie to play the game, that'll sure get the kids into KISS XD
But in all seriousness, I'd love to see the Angry Video Game Nerd play it.

Game is too recent for DOS. It can probably run under a Windows 2000 or Windows XP virtual machine thoughrewind84 wrote:You may try run in under 'dos box'

My computer is a 3.4 GHz quad-core with Windows 7 64-bit... it runs perfectly in Windows XP SP3 compatibility mode.meatloaf wrote:Has anyone been able to get this to run on modern systems?
I'm not a big gamer but my son is... this was pretty advanced for its time... underrated game.

Re: Psycho Circus Nightmare Child PC Game
We've updated our computer but still running Vista, mostly due to some software that I have for converting the family VHS's to dvd.
Anyway, the game runs fine on there. I play it every once in a while for fun. Have finished it many times. I'm personally not a "gamer" at all, play some stuff on the Wii once in awhile with the kids and this but that's about it.
The graphics look so outdated now compared by today's standards.

I have the Dreamcast verision and possibly the PC version somewhere.
The Dreamcast version I played quite a bit many years ago when it came out.......... The smoking canon Gene uses, or the plasma rifle thing Ace uses were pretty cool weapons. Neat how you find costume parts and you are then further empowered.............. Overall good game.

It's a 32bit Windows game, not a DOS game.rewind84 wrote:You may try run in under 'dos box'

Re: Psycho Circus Nightmare Child PC Game
Did a quick install on Windows 8.1. Installed and starts without a problem. The in game menus have horrible frame rate. The cut scenes have some drooped frame rate throughout them. Actually game play though is smooth in my limited testing. If using 8.1 though you will need to apply this registry fix for a smooth mouse.
