Which of these is the worst song on Asylum?

Was listening to Asylum in the car today and it reminded me how solid of a record it was. However these 3 songs don't do much for me at all and was wondering what you guys thought.

Anyway You Slice It, but really they are all bad. The whole album other then Tears Are Falling is terrible.

I love all 3 of those songs with Secretly Cruel and Uh All Night among my favorites on the album. I guess I gotta go with Any Way You Slice It.

To me, there really isn't a bad song on Asylum. But on the whole, Any Way You Slice It is a weaker entry than the rest. It's interesting that Eric Carr used electronic drum pads on the song for a rather cool effect in the last verse, but the lyrics come across just a little on the cheesy side.

For me personally, the answer is "NONE OF THE ABOVE". I LOVE 'Asylum', beginning to end, and it's my second favorite album from the band. As I've said in other threads, 'Asylum' is the closest the band came to the klassic KISS sound during the non-makeup years.

I agree with Chester as well.

I'm also immensely fond of Animalize and if it weren't for the fact both albums are plagued by that annoying plastic-like sheen production - unlike Lick It Up or CotN - it would be one of my favorite albums by the band.

On another, I'm Alive is underrated as hell.

If that song doesn't make you headbang, then you're dead from the waist up.

I agree again. I always bang my head when "I'm Alive" comes on. I love that song, always have. It's the little sister to Under The Gun.

I like Asylum, this album rocks! I like every song on the thing. The lyrics on some of Paul's album tracks are suspect...I'm Alive & Radar for Love are both great songs that overcome their bad lyrics since the music is so killer. Same with Uh! All Night...I don't dislike the song, I love when Kiss does the Zeppelin riff thing like on this or Radar for Love. The lyrics for Uh! All Night are particularly bad though...turnin' tricks for money for one thing, the title of the song itself for another

Uh! All Night gets an A for its Misty Mountain Hop vibe but a D- on lyrics. Still a good jam when you're in the car though!

Uh All Night is by far the worst. It isn't even close. Pure garbage. Embarrassing.

Slice might be derivative but its still a fun energetic song and has aged well.

Cruel is a catchy fun song that could have easily fit into the 70s era.

Radar for Love is the worse off of Asylum, can't stand that song. The other one is Secretly Cruel very close to last. All the other songs are OK or great!

Why is Any Way You Slice It on this list. It's one of Gene's best 80's songs, and alongside Tears Are Falling the best song on Asylum in my view

Bruce's guitar work saves Love's a Deadly Weapon though. He's just tearin' it up when Gene's vocals come back in after the solo. Shitty song... Great guitar work!!!

Kind of an odd poll. Only three songs that the OP picked, so it's pretty skewed, and how Uh! All Night has less votes than Any Way You Slice It is beyond me. I voted for Uh! All Night because I like the album otherwise, but this song is like going on a great run [songs 1-9] and then falling flat on your ass after slipping on a banana peel.

I can not believe Anyway You Slice It is leading. I love that f*****g song. . . cheesy lyrics and all.

I really dig 'Animalize', too. The production/mastering doesn't bother me nearly as much as it does with CotN. The Animalize-Asylum-Crazy Nights back-to-back threesome is probably my favorite of KISS' entire catalog. Strange, I know...
