Looks like the only hard copy coming out will be on CD.

The only Kiss-related albums I have on CD are Live to Win, Asshole, the box set & the Criss Cat EP. The rest is all on vinyl. I wish those four would have come out on vinyl.

And I wish this Gene box set would come out on vinyl too

I got rid of my CDs over a decade ago. The only reason I still have those four Kiss ones I mentioned: that's the only format I can get them on.

I own all that Kiss vinyl, all the Ace & Peter vinyl. Plus all the Beatles, lots of the post-Beatles solo stuff. Then other classic albums, mostly 70s stuff. Hotel California, Born to Run, Physical Graffiti, Rumors, Damn the Torpedoes, Exile on Main Street...All from the classic rock era. I don't know how many I have in total, 150 maybe.

I have lots of digital music, lots more than vinyl. Some downloaded, some ripped from those CDs I used to own.

The vinyl thing is just total nostalgia for me. I love going to record shows, flipping through all the racks for a while. I can really lose track of time in there if I go alone & nobody's there to say "let's go!" I don't always buy one, but every now & then I do.

It's great on a boring rainy Sunday to throw on a vinyl, read the Sunday paper and kick back like it's 1979!

While I highly prefer vinyl and buy all new releases on record, I also still buy a CD copy to rip to my library for everyday "casual" listening and for listening in the car. When it comes to digital, I really wish DVD-Audio or SACD had caught on as they both blow CD away. I don't do downloaded anything.

While I still have some of my original release copies of a few KISS albums, most are in bad shape as I really didn't take care of shit back then (now I'm OCD/anal about all my stuff). That said, I haven't bothered getting all of their back catalog on vinyl... Just my select favorite albums. The first six along with Alive! and Alive II, Creatures of the Night, Hot in the Shade, Carnival of Souls, Psycho Circus and maybe one or two others. When it comes to buying vinyl, I'm more interested in (I hate to say it) better music than typical KISS. Stuff like Jazz, Blues & Classical or deeper, more serious or complex forms of rock... Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, Pearl Jam, Billy Joel, Talking Heads, The Police, Moody Blues... Stuff like that.

Yeah, I don't do that.

If my vinyl doesn't come with a download code, I see if the Library has the CD. If not, I ask my friends for digital files.

If my friends can't help out, then I go to my Father In Law's and rip the LP with his MP3 turntable...(Thankfully, I've not had to do that yet...but the option exists.)

I'm not buying stuff multiple times...unless I'm buying the record of a CD I already have..haha.

On Podcast Rock City, what's Matt McCormack referring to when he says that Gene will be releasing the song they worked on (Pride) on a compilation but not on the Box Set ? Sounds like Matt's alluding to a second product.

I did the MnG on Sat in Niagara Falls. i asked Gene when he came to me the first time " So when is the Box set is coming out?" He just smiled and shook his head and said " I really can't tell you." I said ok. Well, before I left I had to go back to Gene to get my shirt signed since I forgot. So when I got him again, " I said "cm'on, seriously, when is it coming out?". He shook his head again, and then came close to me and said : "2-3 months".

I think Gene also said "December" back in like 2002 lol... but I'm REALLY hoping to see it soon! And I think this time it's gonna happen.

Random, but if I was Gene, I would not be going to some random person's fucking house. God only knows if they are some deranged weirdo, keep their house as well as Vinnie Vincent, have some sort of body louse such as but not limited to bed bugs, scabies, crabs, etc., or live in a shitty part of town where some local hoodlum would love to hold up rich rock star for cash. I guess the incredibly high price will be used as a means to hopefully to price those types out, but who knows... perhaps they have tons of money and live in a shithole so they can spend it on expensive bs.
