In January 1969 The Vintage won their section at a talent/variety show, "New Groove '69," held at the Academy of Music in Brooklyn.
As a result the band were awarded a recording session at Associated Recording Studios (7th Avenue in Manhattan) which resulted in this song. The Vintage included John Balsamo (bass), Pepi Genneralli (keyboards), and Joe Lucenti (guitar). Both Pepi and Joe had been members of Sounds Of Soul with Peter.
