Apart from this alternate mix of the song ending with an additional Gene vocal of “too much, too much, too much to hold,” the guitar work, while being similar, is very slightly different. The differences are most noticeable as the lead kicks in at the beginning of the song and as the guitar solo ends and Gene’s vocals restart. On this alternative mix the guitar solo completely fades before Gene’s vocals kick in, while on the album version the solo resonates through the start of his vocals. Obtuse, perhaps, but this version is also 6 seconds shorter than the album version.
